Persoonlijk bericht van Benson (2009): I want to describe what my graduation, what this study has meant to me. Four years ago I was a young man with a heart in panic. So much was too unsure for me and all I hoped was that miracles that were talked of would come real to me some day. I never knew for sure it was possible, I had great conviction that all would be well though. I have made different friends while I was in college and grown up through experiences with people from different regions of my country and the world in general. This has equipped me to being a better person in life and my career ahead. I now can stand in front of people and speak for I can be sure they will see confidence in me for the same is in my heart. Four years ago I made a promise that I would struggle hard to be a doctor and work to make people in my country not suffer for small curable illnesses like those that took away my parents. When I now fill out and dispense medicine to a patient I feel that a part of this is coming true. I now know for sure that even in the days to come I will be a positive and an indelible mark in my society.I am determined to touch people with what ever knowledge I have gained and to make the world a better place every day one step at a time. I may not make significant changes by a boom but I know now that when that old woman from the village gets medicine for her paining back and she is able to sleep in the night God above will see and make my night bearable too. I would like to say one sentence to all the people who worked tirelessly so that I was able to study and complete my study. Your efforts were not wasted and I will leave every passing day to make it for sure. The day you spent an hour organizing for my fee will transform the lives around me. A young child today got medicine sooner than she would have few months ago, for I was there to ensure it. This I will do for as long as am alive. Be well and God bless my sponsors who made this all possible for me. Regards, |
